Last week was a busy week for our Chairman of the Board Rad Weaver. Early in the week, Rad was appointed by Governor Greg Abbott to serve on the University of Texas System Board of Regents, and on Thursday, he testified before the Senate Committee on Nominations.
While the Senate Nominations Committee has not voted to confirm his nomination and the full Senate must approve the nomination as well, Rad’s hearing went well, and we believe he is on his way to becoming San Antonio’s latest Regent on one of the state’s most prestigious university systems. We look forward to having Rad represent San Antonio and the business community on the UT Board of Regents!
