We are officially 12 days out from our 39th annual SA to DC fly-in, and we are excited to have more than 125 registrants, who represent businesses of all sizes and a wide range of industries and community groups, joining us this year. This is sure to be an effective and successful trip, as we have put together a three-day program that includes speakers from Congressional leadership posts, committee leaders, and our tireless San Antonio Congressional delegation.
The SA to DC group will spend several hours each day raising the region’s top priorities with leaders in government and key organizations. With the start of a new Congressional session and with a new Administration, we are seizing the opportunity to join forces with local partners to carry more issues this year than we have before. We have partnered with the North San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, the San Antonio Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, the South San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, and the Free Trade Alliance to put together dynamic issue team chairs. These volunteers will lead our members in dozens of meetings that cover water, transportation, military affairs, aerospace, cybersecurity, education and workforce development, energy, healthcare, hospitality and tourism, immigration, small business, and international trade.
Registration is still open, so if you are interested in learning more about SA to DC or would like to join us, please contact Belinda Hartwig at bhartwig@sachamber.org or Crystal Flynn at cflynn@sachamber.org. For all of our volunteers who are already registered and ready to go, thank you for commitment, and we will see you in Washington!
