As a service to our members, businesses and residents, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has created a candidate questionnaire for city council run-off races.
The questionnaire is intended to be a resource for Chamber members to learn more about the candidates and their positions on economic issues facing our region. The Chamber does
NOT endorse candidates for office. The questionnaire is simply a tool to increase awareness about city council elections and the candidates themselves.
The questionnaire was created with feedback provided by the Chamber’s Public Affairs Committee. All candidates were offered the opportunity to complete a written questionnaire, and we have included responses from candidates who chose to participate. The questionnaire is comprised of the following four questions:
- Please introduce yourself and share why you are seeking a seat on the San Antonio City Council, including why you feel you are the best candidate for the position.
- What steps would you take as a city council member to strengthen the City’s business environment?
- How would you encourage the City of San Antonio to develop safe, effective and efficient multi-modal transportation systems that moves people throughout San Antonio and this region?
- Do you support the City’s 2017 Bond Program? Which components do you feel are most important to sustaining the economic vitality of a growing city?
