The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce and Presenting Sponsor Ford Motor Company celebrated seven outstanding honorees for the 2017 Tribute to Women Business Leaders Awards luncheon yesterday afternoon.  The honorees were Linda Hummel, CEO, SWBC Employee Benefits Consulting; Christy Prescott, CEO, Corporate Travel Planners; Amy Palmer, President & CEO, Soldiers’ Angels; Heather Angel Chandler, President & CEO, Innovative Multimedia Group; Susan Naylor, Founder & President, The Will Smith Foundation; Laura Vaccaro, Vice President for Community Relations & Events, Valero Energy; and Aaronetta Hamilton Pierce, Civic and Community Leader. The Tribute to Women Business Leaders honorees each demonstrate business practices and principles that are championed by Ford Motor Company and the San Antonio Chamber. A $1,000 scholarship will be donated to the college/university of the award recipient’s choice in her name. “The seven honorees exemplify what success means in San Antonio, not only because of their success in their chosen career fields, but also because of their profound impact on our community,” said 2017 Tribute to Women Business Leaders Chairman Peggy Walker, Managing Director, U.S. Trust Bank of America. This year’s honorees each represent what it means to be a leader, role model, and philanthropist.  Their personal success stories not only resonated with the selection committee, but also to everyone in attendance at this year’s event.
