The Free Trade Alliance of San Antonio and Women in International Business have teamed up to present a CEO Leadership Luncheon featuring Chairman, President & CEO of Valero Energy Corporation, Joe Gorder.
On Thursday, September 14, Mr. Gorder will share his insight on the current challenges and opportunities facing the energy industry, from the viewpoint of Valero Energy. The overall goal of the luncheon is to provide guests with a better overall understanding of the industry, particularly how it coincides with international business, and how to recognize potential opportunities for their own business growth and development.
Gorder was first elected to Valero’s board in February of 2014. In May of that same year he was named CEO. Prior to serving as President, Gorder held several positions with Valero and Ultramar Diamond Shamrock Corporation. He also is Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Valero Energy Partners GP LLC, the general partner of Valero Energy Partners LP (NYSE: VLP), a midstream logistics master limited partnership formed by Valero in 2013. He also serves on the board of directors of Anadarko Petroleum Corp. (NYSE: APC).
