Come and Visit your nearest Pre-K 4 SA Center

As part of a larger focus on early education issues in the San Antonio region, your Chamber, in partnership with Pre-K 4 SA, is encouraging members to take an opportunity to visit one of the four Pre-K 4 SA centers.  Started in 2012 after former Mayor Julián Castro convened the Brainpower Taskforce, Pre-K 4 SA was created as a program focused on providing quality full-day programming for students, grant opportunities for partnering districts, and professional development training for other early childhood educators.  It is vital to the future of our community that we invest in early childhood development. Your Chamber has been actively engaged in the early education conversations at a local, state and federal level, which is why we are asking our members to visit one of these amazing centers.  Site visits will take place on October 16^th and 17^th and will include a tour of the facility and short overview presentation by members of the Pre-K 4 SA team. Additionally, each site will be hosted by a member of the Pre-K 4 SA Board.  Hosts include Elaine Mendoza, Dr. Shari Albright, Dr. Richard Middleton, and Richard Perez.  Also attending the visits will be our Chairman of the Board Rad Weaver and Chair-Elect Shaun Kennedy.
