Lucas Miller was born and raised in San Antonio. He graduated from Brandeis High School in 2015 and will start his senior year this fall at Eastern Mennonite University in Harrisonburg, Virginia. He is an Economics major with a Psychology minor with a focus in Mathematics. This summer, Lucas is helping the Chamber’s public policy department. Lucas’ interest in the relationship between the public and private sectors of the economy drew him to the opportunity to work at the Chamber. His responsibilities include conducting research for upcoming projects such as future legislation on the Texas motor fuels tax and voter engagement. He is currently working on a voter toolkit as part of the Chamber’s voter engagement initiative. Lucas is also supporting the Public Policy team in preparing for the Chamber’s annual SA to DC trip and VIVA, our legislative session visit to Austin. When Lucas returns to school this fall, he will have another internship as part of his academic program. His aspiration is to secure a job in the Harrisonburg area and hopes to start his own business one day.  Lucas’ internship with the Chamber is through the City of San Antonio Ambassador program.
