On Monday, August 27, 2018, CPS Energy is hosting an Information Session for community members interested in serving as a trusted Board Member. Applications for the Southwest Quadrant 4 vacancy are available now. The event will begin with an open house at 5:30 p.m,. and the session will kick off at 6 p.m. at CPS Energy’s Main Office Board Room, located at 145 Navarro Street.
This Information Session is an opportunity to learn more about the significant role a Board Member plays in the operation of one of the nation’s largest public power, natural gas and electric companies. As a community member, you can take advantage of influencing decisions that are made about rates and services, power generation and renewable alternatives. Through this process, public power revenues can be reinvested in community programs and projects that are for the common good. In the end, public power does exactly what its name suggests; it puts power in the hands of the public.
CPS Energy is more than just poles and lines, they are a beacon of ingenuity and technological advancement, and they will be a central component to what this city will look like 50 years from now, thanks to initiatives like their Flexible Path. You can be a part of this journey, and the Board Information Session is the perfect start.
Please RSVP by Friday, August 24 to trustees@cpsenergy.com or call (210) 353-2112.
