San Antonio, Tx. – From humble beginnings to now purchasing their own building, Y&L has found their new home.
Y&L Consulting, Inc. is an IT (Information Technology) solutions company. Started in San Antonio in 1999 with three people, Y&L has grown to over 450 employees today. USAA was the first client for Y&L and played a key role in Y&L getting established. Today, Y&L works with almost every major San Antonio corporation. Y&L also has clients throughout the United States and owns and operates international development centers in India and Costa Rica. “Funny thing is, we are headquartered in San Antonio but our biggest client is in Tampa, Florida”.
Y&L promotes growth and entrepreneurship from within. SPS DGTL, PMWare, Sistema Technologies, and Gov2Biz are small and growing companies that started under the umbrella of Y&L Consulting. These companies were thought-of by an employee with expertise in a field, demonstrating a need in the marketplace, and formulating a business plan. Y&L leadership then worked out the details and provided the backing to launch the new company.
Y&L Consulting believes in breaking cycles of poverty through technology. Y&L provides programs such as “Educating the Educators”. Y&L’s event will take High School educators, guidance counselors and school administrators/superintendents to attend a day-long session focused on demystifying Information Technology and gaining an understanding of what is needed to prepare graduates for a career in IT.
History shows that San Antonio is full of success stories from local residents creating successful thriving small businesses. Y&L employees are proud of their rich history in San Antonio and proud to have their very own building to now call home!
