Are you ready for some football? The Alamodome will see more football in its future, with the arrival of the Alliance of American Football League and our very own team, the San Antonio Commanders. The team President who will lead Team operations, Vic Gregovits, made the announcement in front of hundreds of future season ticket holders on Tuesday. The name of the team honors the heroic leaders in the Air Force and Army who have dedicated their lives to service and sacrifice for this great country. The team colors are maroon, a color used in the official city logo, silver, in reference to dress military swords carried by officers, and the red of the Texas flag. There is also honor given to the Alamo that sits prominently in the middle of the logo. The Alliance of American Football has eight teams across the United States with games beginning on Feb. 9, 2019.
