Your Chamber wants to connect you to the world by offering the very best of international travel opportunities with our bi-annual overseas Chamber trips. Next year’s voyage to Chile and Argentina, taking place March 9 – 18, 2019, will take you through beautiful South American cities, crossing the regal Andes mountains along the way!
During your trip, you will encounter welcoming people who are devoted to their proud heritage and eager to share the joys of a vibrant culture. Chile sits between the Andes Mountains and the Pacific Ocean and offers a unique mixture of natural beauty, chic cities, and plenty of historic sites. Upon arrival to the capital of Chile, you will begin with a city tour, where you will see the San Francisco Church, Plaza de Armas, the Metropolitana Cathedral, the National History Museum, Santiago's main avenue "Alameda" and Palacio de la Moneda. After a full day of visiting the best Santiago has to offer, you are able to spend the next day at leisure, viewing the cohesion of the colonial past with the ultramodern areas. Take your time as you explore Santiago de Chile and try a pisco sour, have an exquisite meal at a top-flight restaurant, or enjoy the blissful background of the majestic Andes from one of the city’s rooftop bars.
The next morning, following breakfast, you will enjoy a panoramic bus journey crossing the Andes towards Mendoza, Argentina. Argentina is a captivating land of beauty and contrasts. Here, you can dance the night away with an amazing Tango experience and traditional Argentine dinner at an acclaimed “tangueria”, or spend a peaceful day walking through the museums and parks.
Once you are settled into Mendoza, the next day you will enjoy a city tour and agricultural oasis, home to 70% of Argentina’s vineyards. You will learn about the wine making process and have the opportunity to sample some of the world’s finest wines, including the famous Argentinian Malbec. On Day 6, you will transfer to the airport for a short flight to Buenos Aires, then embark on a city tour of the elegant neighborhoods, the Presidential Palace, tango parlors and much more! Continue the next few days in Buenos Aires, enjoying the museums, art galleries, shops, parks, and beautiful tree lined boulevards.
