This year has been a year of Transformational Collaboration, where the Chamber has been working in concert with key business and civic leaders to engage in discussions on issues impacting our community. This has allowed us to ensure we are all focusing on the priorities that matter the most for San Antonio. As a result, your Chamber has:
  • Defeated the City’s efforts to include a Labor Peace Agreement requirement within the Request for Proposals for concessionaires at the Airport.
  • Pushed for a strong, modernized NAFTA, including testifying before Congress and traveling to Canada and Mexico to promote the benefits of the agreement.
  • Launched the Project Ability Summit to connect businesses, government agencies, non-profits, and the education community and discuss way s to engage individuals with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities in local employment opportunities.
None of this would be possible without the support of our valued members and volunteers, who have been right by our side providing the necessary guidance and insight to complete this critical work. We invite you to celebrate our collective success by joining us at our 2018 Gala. Our 2018 Gala will also honor our outgoing Chairman of the Board Shaun Kennedy, San Antonio Chairman of Texas Capital Bank, and introduce our 2019 Chair of the Board Paula Gold-Williams, President and CEO of CPS Energy. The evening will be held in the Hemisfair Ballroom at the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center kicking off at 6 p.m. with a cocktail reception, followed by a variety live entertainment, opportunities to mix and mingle, a year-in-review, and an after party with a DJ and plenty of dancing. To wrap up the evening, one member will drive away in a new Toyota Tacoma. As 2018 comes to an end, we invite you to join us for our largest event of the year as we celebrate another year of propelling business success in San Antonio.
