As part of our Chamber Wellness Program, members of the Chamber team participate in monthly 5K events to promote health and teambuilding while giving back to our community. This month we participated in the 3rd annual Confetti 5K Run & Walk to benefit student scholarships at Our Lady of the Lake University. This annual run takes place on their beautiful campus and has proved to be successful year after year. In its first year, the Confetti Run had 611 participants and has now grown to more than 1,100 participants. It was a great race with many students and volunteers cheering on all of the participants with confetti cannons as runners crossed the finish line. There was even an appearance by the Easter bunny, as participants and families prepared for the annual Easter egg hunt. We look forward to seeing what they have in store next year. Viva Fiesta!
