Last week in Chamber Today we asked you to join us in writing our Congressional delegation, asking for their support in urging the Department of Homeland Security to release additional H-2B visas for non-agricultural seasonal jobs such as hospitality, landscaping and construction. We asked you to join us in that effort, as it supports critical industries to San Antonio. Yesterday, the Department of Homeland Security announced that they will be releasing an additional 35,000 visas for 2020. Thank you to all who joined us in our advocacy. This is the third federal legislative priority for 2020 that we have secured because of collective community support.
