The future of our economy depends upon resiliency and innovation, characteristics that are embodied by our local high school students. Interest in summer internships remains high, and your Chamber encourages you to consider hosting a high school student on-site or remotely through Family Service. Family Service’s Youth Summer Internship Program partners students 14 to 17 years of age with various organizations throughout San Antonio. For four weeks, students are immersed within their matched company. For 20 hours per week, these San Antonio summer interns work alongside staff helping with projects, office support, planning and prepping events and more to gain meaningful work experience. Due to the current COVID-19 crisis, this year’s summer internship program was shortened from six (6) weeks to four (4) weeks. Interns would start work on June 29 and end the last week of July. Host organizations are encouraged to provide a capstone project for students to complete during these four weeks.
