In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, access to quality Child Care has become an important issue to take on as part of an equitable recovery. The Texas Workforce Commission (TWC) is developing the Child Care and Development Fund (CCDF) State Plan for Fiscal Years 2022-2024 (October 1, 2021 through September 30, 2024). The CCDF State Plan will outline the policies, strategies, and vision for the childcare program, including the subsidy program and Texas Rising Star. TWC is seeking broad input from childcare providers, parents, and other stakeholders across Texas for the 2022-2024 CCDF State Plan. This is an opportunity to let TWC know what issues are most important to you and provide ideas for strategies to consider in the next CCDF Plan. Information collected will be used in the preparation of a draft plan that will be available for public review and comment in March 2021. Everyone is a stakeholder in how we take care of the next generation of Texans. Take a few minutes to let TWC know your thoughts on how the Child Care and Development Fund can ensure children are set up for lifelong success.
