TxDOT is conducting a study to identify concepts for improving SH 16 (Bandera Road) from I-410 to Loop 1604 within the cities of Leon Valley and San Antonio in Bexar County, Texas. TxDOT’s first round of public meetings were held in Dec. 2019, and they focused on obtaining the community’s thoughts and feedback regarding existing land use and transportation issues on SH 16 (Bandera Road). The purpose of the upcoming virtual public meeting is to discuss roadway corridor concepts that could be applied throughout SH 16 (Bandera Road) from I-410 to Loop 1604. Options for improvements that could help alleviate traffic congestion and improve safety will be presented and discussed.
The virtual public meeting will provide an opportunity for the public to review potential concepts and other information regarding the study. Participants can view a narrated presentation with both audio and visual components. The public is encouraged to comment online via the link provided at the virtual public meeting, by email to BanderaRoad@pozcam.com, or by mail to: SH 16 (Bandera Road) Study Team, c/o Linda Vela, 5835 Callaghan Road, Ste. 200, San Antonio, Texas 78228.
