The results are in, and the Leadership San Antonio Alumni Association (LSA AA) has raised $43,177.80, from individual and corporate matching donations, which will help 302,239 families during this holiday season.
The LSA AA hosted this special fundraiser to benefit the San Antonio Food Bank at the Pape-Dawson Engineers office building, targeting graduates of the LSA program through direct emails, social media, and word of mouth. The original goal of $500 was quickly met and 7 days after launching the campaign, the alumni showed their class year spirit and generosity to raise over $43,000. The cold and rainy weather didn’t deter the alumni who showed up with their canned goods, cereal, peanut butter and more. The challenge was for the coveted title of “Best Class Ever”, which was just a small but important motivation driving this friendly competition to raise the funds.
“Congratulations to LSA class 40 for their efforts. That’s what the LSA Alumni Association is all about, fulfilling the promise we made to our class and our community,” said Ashley Harris-Dumulong (USAA), proud LSA Class 39 graduate and one of the many volunteers who helped to make the event a huge success.
