Your Chamber was hosted by the Sixteenth Air Force (Air Force Cyber) leadership in preparation for upcoming visits to the Pentagon and Air Combat Command Headquarters at Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia. These office visits are integral in continuing the already strong relationship of support between the business community and mission partners who serve at the 16th AF.
Headquartered at Joint Base San Antonio, the 16th AF focuses on information warfare in the modern age. Information Warfare requires integrating: Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance; Cyber Warfare; Electromagnetic Warfare; Weather; Public Affairs; and Information Operations capabilities. The 16th AF ensures that the Air Force and Nation are fast, resilient, and fully integrated in competition, crisis, and conflict by incorporating Information Warfare at operational and tactical levels, capitalizing on the value of information by leading the charge for uniquely-21st century challenges in the highly dynamic, seamless, and global information domain.
After receiving a mission overview and update from Lt Gen Kevin Kennedy, Commander of 16th AF, attendees also discussed topics important to both the 16th AF and the San Antonio community from academic relations and innovative facilities to health resilience efforts. “Ongoing dialogue on matters that are important to both the military and civilian community is essential to ensuring we never take the great talent and resources of their unique organization for granted – locally, regionally, and especially nationally,” said Lori Stinson, Vice President of Military Affairs and Leadership Development. “The 16th Air Force mission is critical to the security of our nation, and we are honored to continue to solidify our support for their mission, service members, civilians, and families through these ongoing meetings and events.”
