On Monday, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the San Antonio Council for International Visitors, hosted a delegation from India visiting San Antonio to learn more about cybersecurity and our local ecosystem.  The group met at the Northeast Independent School District’s Institute for Cybersecurity and Innovation (iCSI) that houses a world-class cybersecurity education program. After brief introductions, San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Vice President for Cybersecurity & Economic Development, Jeff Fair, provided a high-level overview of the regional economy and detailed the cybersecurity industry in the Alamo City.

After a great discussion facilitated by Jeff, the group was treated to a welcome and tour of iCSI from NEISD Superintendent Dr. Sean Maika.  Following the tour, Joe Sanchez, from the Cyber Texas Foundation led a roundtable discussion on cyber education including how San Antonio has embraced cybersecurity education in high school, middle school, and even elementary age students.
