Last week, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce supported “San Antonio Days”, a two-day familiarization program for the foreign consular and diplomatic corps and foreign trade commissioners. Several Chamber members including VelocityTX, Southwest Research Institute, and Port San Antonio hosted a group representing twenty countries.
Chamber Vice President for Cybersecurity and Economic Development Jeff Fair welcomed the delegation on behalf of the Chamber leadership. He provided an overview of the business community and an in-depth look at San Antonio’s cybersecurity and tech ecosystem. Although many of the delegation had been to San Antonio before and have met with the Chamber team in previous visits, several members were excited to meet the team and learn more.
Consular and diplomatic representatives from countries such as Japan, Costa Rica, and Germany were among some of the members who were meeting the Chamber team for the first time. It was great to see representatives from Canada, Ireland, Namibia, France, and others again in the Alamo City.
