The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is set to host the 53rd Annual Celebrate America’s Military events this November. Celebrate America’s Military, also known as “CAM”, began in 1970 as a way for the business community to thank our veterans for their service to our nation at the end of the Vietnam War. Today, CAM stands as the largest and longest held series of events aimed at Celebrating our Military - Active, Guard, and Reserve Members and Families.
“Last year the Alamo Region hosted more than 30 events in three weeks celebrating our military neighbors and their families,” said Lori Stinson, Vice President of Military Affairs and Leadership Development. “The Chamber is honored to connect the military and business communities to not only thank military members for their service, but also thank the businesses who support them year round.”
This year’s CAM Chair is Richard Delgado, Jr., Community Investor for Boeing. “San Antonio is a city that deeply values and honors its military, veterans and their families. They are an integral part of our community, and their sacrifices and service have played a crucial role in shaping the city’s rich history and culture,” relayed Delgado, Jr. “At Boeing, our support of veterans and members of the military expands beyond the walls of Boeing to include investment and engagement with our military families and communities.”
The November 2023 CAM calendar is already growing with many patriotic events leading up to Veteran’s Day, where San Antonians will have an opportunity to honor those who have bravely served in uniform through breakfasts, luncheons, ceremonies, parades, and fun concerts and festivals.
