Greater San Antonio Chamber to Celebrate America's Military for its 53rd Year:

Honoring the Past, the Present, and the Future of our Armed Forces

San Antonio, TX (October 30, 2023) – The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is honored to present the 53rd Anniversary of Celebrate America's Military, a series of events dedicated to paying tribute to the heroes who serve in our Nation's Military - Active, Guard, and Reserve, representing all branches of our armed forces.

The Greater San Antonio Chamber is proud to host three signature events beginning on November 2nd. The festivities commence with the prestigious Spirit of America Dinner, an evening filled with inspiration and gratitude for the past, present, and future Airmen, Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Coast Guardsmen, and Guardians. The Spirit of America Dinner will feature a delightful cocktail reception, an elegant dinner, captivating entertainment by the 323rd Army Band “Fort Sam’s Own”, and a stirring keynote address by Michael "Rod" Rodriguez, President and CEO of the Global War on Terrorism Memorial Foundation. A decorated Army Green Beret and Operation Enduring Freedom Veteran, Rodriguez's insights will undoubtedly leave a lasting impact.

Another feature event, the Women in the Military Breakfast, will commemorate the invaluable contributions of women in the military who reside in the Greater San Antonio area. We will hear from three remarkable women service members from Joint Base San Antonio, representing the Army, Navy, and Air Force, and celebrate their achievements, applaud their success, and offer our resounding support for their many years of selfless service.

One other highlight event is the CAM Senior Non-Commissioned Officer (SNCO) Reception, taking place at Devil's River Whiskey. This event is dedicated to honoring the Senior Non-Commissioned Officers based in our area and will be a fun and festive gathering featuring SNCOs from all services.

“San Antonio is known as "Military City, USA," and has proudly served as a steadfast home to a thriving military community for nearly 300 years,” said Lori Stinson, VP of Military Affairs and Leadership Development. “With one of the nation's largest active and retired military populations, these events stand as a testament to the unwavering commitment and support for the men and women who serve our country.”
