The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce partnered with the US Chamber Foundation to bring BizConnect, a first-of-its-kind small business program, to the Alamo City in 2023. Now, after a rigorous six-month course, the first cohort of BizConnect small business owners are set to graduate. The 22-person class represents a diverse set of businesses from around San Antonio, all coming from disadvantaged areas. BizConnect is a pilot program, where lessons learned in San Antonio will be utilized in the development of new BizConnect cohorts across the country. The US Chamber Foundation sought out the Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce for this initial class and to assist in the development of the course curriculum and delivery methods.
BizConnect coach Heather Rose led the group in group sessions and in one-on-one meetings to help business owners with some of their toughest challenges. Heather will lead the final BizConnect session this week, completing a challenging, yet rewarding program. Many BizConnect members have already leveraged the tools and techniques they learned to better their businesses. Some have already realized high levels of growth, and all enter 2024 ready to implement a stronger business plan and meet their goals. The graduation ceremony is slated for the end of the month and will be a great way to celebrate these small businesses and their achievements.
Congratulations BizConnect Class of 2024!
