The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council began its 2024 campaign under the direction of new Council Chair David Adelman, Area Real Estate. The Council was graciously hosted by Jackson Walker in their new office on Broadway. During the meeting, David led the group on a wide-ranging discussion about economic development as a subject and what the discipline means to San Antonio specifically. He also solicited feedback from the Council members about the role the Council should play in local and regional economic development efforts.
The Council intends to have several focused initiatives in 2024 to move economic development forward in San Antonio. This will include receiving input from Greater Chamber members as well as ensuring a close and coordinated working relationship with other economic entities across the region and the state. As the Council meeting closed, members were excited about the direction the group was taking and looking forward to solidifying the specific goals for the year.
