The Healthcare Committee held its second meeting on February 15, 2024. Hosted by Methodist Healthcare, the meeting commenced with opening remarks from Board Chair Jimena Saenz.
The session delved into a thorough discussion of the 2024 goals, priorities, and initiatives, highlighting key topics such as Education, Workforce Development (EWD), Healthcare Delivery, Preventative Medicine, and Advocacy all aimed at fostering healthier communities.
VP of Cybersecurity & Economic Development Jeff Fair facilitated a recap of the recent SA to DC trip, inviting insights from attendees including Jaymie Mangelsdorf, Lori Stinson, and Nicole Foy, who shared their experiences and highlights from their issue teams.
The meeting also saw the decision to collectively revise the mission statement, reflecting the committee's evolving objectives.
Following the session, Jimena Saenz presented closing remarks, highlighting the unity and purpose of the committee's initiatives.
