Greater San Antonio Chamber Celebrates our 130th Birthday at the Annual All Members Meeting
Chamber members recently gathered for the Annual All Members Meeting to mark 130 years of progress and success made possible by the unwavering support and contributions of all our members. Together, we’ve built a vibrant and thriving business community that continues to grow and prosper.
The event featured insightful presentations from our Chair, Mario A. Barrera, who shared his impressive achievements this year, and President & CEO Jeff Webster, who highlighted the Chamber's strategic successes. These included our new Supporting Military Families San Antonio (SMF.SA) initiative, the collaborative “Get Out The Vote” campaign with FirstDay Foundation, the expanding Voices of the Chamber series on social media, the reimagined small Business Council, and updates to our membership benefits.
In addition to celebrating our successes from this past year, we also discussed our plans to advocate on behalf of the business community at the federal level during our SA to DC trip in early 2025, raise awareness of critical issues like the SA to DC flights, support our military missions especially military spouse support, healthcare and childcare, and promote endeavors that will drive growth and prosperity for our city and businesses. These efforts are designed to ensure that San Antonio remains a dynamic and prosperous place for all.
Our meeting also featured valuable contributions from key figures such as City Manager Erik Walsh, former Chamber President and CEO Joe Krier, FirstDay Foundation President and CEO Kevin Dinnin, and Mayor Ron Nirenberg. Their insights added depth to our discussions, highlighting the collaborative spirit that drives our community forward. Video messages from past Chairs of the Board, executive board members, and committee chairs added a personal touch to the event, emphasizing the strong foundation of leadership that has guided us over the years.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to all our members for your continued support. Special thanks to our presenting sponsor, FirstDay Foundation, and our sponsors—Riverwalk Plaza Hotel, Peek A Booth, National University, Staff-Pro Workforce, and The University of Texas at San Antonio for helping us commemorate this milestone. We are honored to have such an incredible community, and we look forward to the next 130 years of shared success and growth. Engage with us in the coming months to promote your business, ensure your voice is heard, and support our community’s ongoing prosperity. Here's to another year of remarkable achievements and continued collaboration!
