Stay in SA Intern Mixer 2024: Building Legacy and Talent in San Antonio

The Greater San Antonio Chamber of Commerce recently hosted the 4th Annual Stay in SA Intern Mixer at Andretti's on July 25th, bringing together 300 college interns from across the city! Interns had the unique opportunity to take professional headshots, network with one another, and connect with top companies such as Valero and Boeing. This event, held in partnership with the City of San Antonio, aimed to retain local talent by highlighting the professional opportunities, lifestyle, and culture that make San Antonio an ideal place to start a career.

A special thanks goes out to our generous sponsors who made this event possible, with a particularly big thank you to the UTSA Alvarez College of Business for being our presenting sponsor. Their support helped create an atmosphere where young professionals could explore the potential that San Antonio offers.

By staying in San Antonio, interns have the chance to contribute to and benefit from a city with a rich legacy and a vibrant future. The community’s commitment to growth and innovation provides a fertile ground for launching successful careers. For businesses, hiring local interns is a strategic move that helps build a pipeline of skilled and dedicated talent. Interns who start their careers in San Antonio are more likely to develop a deep connection to the city and its values, leading to long-term employment and mutual growth. By investing in local talent, businesses can ensure a steady influx of ideas and perspectives, fostering innovation and remaining true to the San Antonio Community.

Looking ahead, we are excited to make next year’s Stay in SA Intern Mixer even more impactful! If you or your organization are interested in sponsoring or getting involved in 2025, please reach out to Kenzie McAlister or Diego Aldrete for more information.
