The Greater San Antonio Chamber was well-represented at InCyber Forum in Montreal, as San Antonio gears up to host the first-ever U.S. edition of the forum June 17-18, 2025.
A San Antonio delegation, including Angela McClendon Johnson, the Greater Chamber's Vice President of Leadership, Education and Workforce, attended the forum in Montreal to generate excitement about the San Antonio conference and tout the city’s leadership in the cybersecurity arena. Next summer’s forum is expected to bring together 5,000 cybersecurity leaders from around the world to discuss the latest technologies, innovations, and industry best-practices. Special focus will also be given to how to protect against constantly evolving cyber threats unique to the U.S. and how those threats specifically impact its allies in the hemisphere and other North American stakeholders.
Johnson participated in a panel discussing San Antonio's leadership in the cybersecurity sector, serving as a collaboration hub, and convening and connecting industry leaders to discuss ways to strengthen the ecosystem. Recognized as Cyber City, USA, San Antonio is the second largest cybersecurity hub in the U.S. with:
- 100+ cybersecurity organizations;
- 40 headquarters;
- the largest concentration of federal cyber-related work outside of Washington, D.C.; and
- the largest Cyber Patriot team participation (high school cyber competition) in the U.S.
“San Antonio is rapidly emerging as a key player in the cybersecurity industry, attracting top talent and innovative companies. With its robust ecosystem of defense contractors, tech startups, and research institutions, the city is positioned as the pivotal hub for cybersecurity advancements,” said Johnson. “We are Cyber City, USA — where innovation meets security — redefining the cybersecurity landscape, fostering collaboration among industry leaders and emerging tech talent, making it the ideal backdrop for cutting-edge conferences like the InCyber Forum.”
Bringing this prestigious forum to San Antonio is a collaborative effort between Visit San Antonio and key entities including the City of San Antonio, greater:SATX, Port San Antonio and The University of Texas at San Antonio.
