The Greater San Antonio Chamber hosted its annual State of the City event on April 14, 2026, bringing together business and community leaders at the Tobin Center for the Performing Arts in downtown San Antonio. The event, a cornerstone of The Chamber’s programming, connects the business community with civic leadership while highlighting priorities shaping the region’s future.

The Department of the Air Force (DAF), along with the Defense Innovation Unit, announced they have chosen Joint Base San Antonio as the host of a new state-of-the-art nuclear microreactor. The energy project is in conjunction with advanced nuclear firm Antares and will bolster national security by delivering dependable, uninterrupted power for critical installation missions.

EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin made a stop at The Greater San Antonio Chamber on April 10 to gather feedback from local business leaders and talk about the Trump administration’s efforts to streamline regulations to improve the economy.

The inaugural cohort of the Executive Connections: San Antonio (ECSA) program was celebrated in a memorable graduation ceremony that highlighted leadership, service, and a shared commitment to strengthening the region’s future. Industrial-commercial electrical contractor George McKenna is growing its footprint by opening an office in San Antonio, signaling continued expansion across Texas. The company, which has operated for more than four decades, launched its San Antonio location at 500 Navarro St. late last year under the leadership of Operations Manager Paige Cornett.

Galaxy Builders is marking 35 years of development and growth in San Antonio, building on a foundation established by founder Arun Verma.

The Greater San Antonio Chamber will honor six exceptional women leaders who have made a transformative impact on the region at the upcoming Mary Rose Brown Tribute to Women Business Leaders. The awards luncheon, presented by PNC, will take place Tuesday, May 12, at the Grand Hyatt River Walk.
