The Chamber’s Good-to-Great-to-Global (G3) Taskforce is in the homestretch of having their Global City Report ready to share with key local and regional business and community leaders. The Task Force met last week to fine-tune their recommendations, develop a vision statement and begin developing narrative to describe the return on investment to the San Antonio community. Each committee discussed why their respective sectors are well-positioned for achieving global leadership. They brainstormed about some of the challenges associated with gaining global prominence, including infrastructure and limited marketing and financial support.  They also discussed how they would overcome such obstacles with collaboration and innovation. The next and final meeting is scheduled for October 7, where the Task Force will finalize the report and discuss a strategy moving forward for the City’s bond election as well as throughout the next year. The goal of the G3 Task Force is to produce a report with recommendations and a vision for how San Antonio can become a recognized global leader in: Cyber Security, Biomedical & Healthcare and Cultural Preservation & Celebration.
