It has been said that politics and business don’t mix. For your Chamber, traveling to Washington D.C. for SA to DC is one of the ways we get things done. What began 39 years ago as a trip to say thank you to Pentagon officials for their support of the military presence in San Antonio has morphed into an opportunity to bring local issues into the national spotlight on Capitol Hill. These issues include aerospace, health care, energy, cybersecurity, water, transportation, hospitality/tourism, small business and more.
Join us for our 39th annual SA to DC trip, and help us advocate for the needs of San Antonio businesses and our community. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet with key members of congress, White House officials, cabinet members and military leaders and ensure our priorities are understood and hopefully have them included in the appropriations process early in the legislative session.
Valentine’s Day falls on day two of the trip (February 13-16), so we encourage you to bring your spouse on the voyage to Washington D.C. We promise to leave Valentine’s Day night open, so that you can enjoy a romantic evening with your significant other in one of the hottest food cities in the country. We can even make a suggestion or two on where to visit!
