Your Chamber is proud be in the first cohort of participants for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s (USCCF) Talent Pipeline Management Academy. Talent Pipeline Management (TPM) is an innovative program that attempts to address our nation’s skills gap by positioning businesses in as the key customers of postsecondary education and training providers. The academy is designed to create solutions to the mismatches the workforce is experiencing when trying to pair the current training and education system with what companies really expect out of qualified candidates. Priscilla Camacho, the Chamber’s Vice President of Education and Workforce Development, will represent our city at the TPM Academy as we work toward developing a skilled workforce that meets our business community’s needs. Only a few years old, the USCCF’s impact has been felt across our country with partners in more than 35 states. “The next step is to give business leaders the practical training, tools and resources necessary so they can take what they’ve learned back home to implement in their local communities,” Cheryl Oldham said, Senior Vice President of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation’s Center for Education and Workforce. “The TPM Academy is a great way to do this,” she added.
