On October 18, the Chamber was on hand for a ceremonial groundbreaking that was held at N. Main and E. Houston downtown to launch a 13-month project to redevelop the area’s one-way streets.
North Main and Soledad will become north and south-bound streets, adding parking spaces and either bike or turn lanes. Another goal of this multi-block project is to create a pedestrian-friendly environment, focusing on adding lights, sidewalks and greenspace. The project will be stretched east toward Navarro, improving some roads with fresh pavement.
