LiftFund Women’s Business Center, in partnership with 13 local partner agencies, will host their sixth annual Business Opportunity Academy (BOA) in February 2017. LiftFund welcomes District 124 Representative Ina Minjarez as the keynote speaker for the BOA graduation ceremony on February 28.
The BOA Graduation Ceremony takes place on February 28th from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. The ceremony begins with a catered reception from 6:00 pm to 6:30 pm; followed by introductions, key comments by Representative Minjarez, and certificate presentations to the 40 small business students.
Since 2013, BOA alumni have gone on to experience many successes in contracting and business growth. Their accomplishments and increased capacity range from current businesses inside San Antonio, the State of Texas, and across our nation. Up to 40 small business owners will be selected to participate in four weeks of seminars, workshops, and presentations that fast track their businesses to government, local, and private sector contracting. This program is made possible by the support of 13 local agencies and over 80 volunteers, in partnership with the LiftFund Women’s Business Center.
