The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce is pleased to announce that Brigadier General David E. Petersen, USAF (Ret.) has re-joined the Chamber team as Executive Vice President. Dave joined the Chamber team as Executive Vice President in 2015 and was with the Chamber for a year and a half. “I am really excited to welcome Dave back to the Chamber,” Chamber President and CEO Richard Perez said. “As the Chamber team continues to grow and the work we do touches more and more of the city, Dave’s extensive knowledge of the military and his success in leadership, strategy, and team management are valuable assets.” As Executive Vice President, Dave serves as second in command and oversees the Chamber’s internal operations. “I’m excited to be rejoining the Chamber team,” Dave said. “The Chamber has always done so much good for the community.” Petersen was a command pilot and has flown more than 4,100 hours while serving as an instructor pilot and flight examiner in the F-15C, T-38, and T-6 aircraft. He has combat hours during Operations Desert Storm and Provide Comfort. Dave earned a Bachelor of Science degree from the U.S. Air Force Academy in Colorado and went on to obtain a Master of Military Arts from the Army Command and General Staff College at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas and a Master of Strategic Studies from the Air War College at Maxwell AFB in Alabama.
