In response to growing community needs due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Security Service Federal Credit Union is donating $52,500 to food banks across the communities it serves in Texas, Colorado and Utah  The $52,500 donation will help address urgent food insecurity by purchasing supplies to feed individuals and families in need. This donation is being made at a critical time when community needs have increased and food bank resources have decreased.   These are the communities we call home and right now our neighbors and their families are in need,” said Jim Laffoon, President and CEO of Security Service Federal Credit Union. “This is one of the worst crisis our nation has ever seen and to be able to assist our members and those around us during this time, is a great privilege.”  Donations are being provided to the San Antonio Food BankCoastal Bend Food Bank, Food Bank of the Rio Grande Valley, El Pasoans Fighting Hunger Food Bank, Care and Share Food Bank of Southern Colorado and The Salvation Army—Salt Lake City Corps  In this time of uncertainty, food banks across the country are working around the clock to meet the growing needs of the community.
