The Chamber’s Economic Development Council met this week and hosted Immediate Past Chair of the Chamber Board and President and CEO of Southwest Research Institute Adam Hamilton. Adam shared information about the San Antonio Partnership for Precision Therapeutics (SAPPT), a collaboration between several of San Antonio’s premier life sciences research and development organizations. Following Adam, Kim Munoz, Rideshare Administrator at VIA Metropolitan Transit, informed the Council about VIA’s rideshare program, VIAWORKS. She highlighted the vanpool program, a corporate rideshare program offering employers a convenient option for getting employees to or from work in San Antonio. The program serves the entire region, operating as far out as 100 miles from the City. Click here to learn more. Diane Rath, the Executive Director of the Alamo Area Council of Governments, shared information about the Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE) program. PACE is a great way for companies to incorporate energy saving upgrades to existing properties and qualify for special financing incentives.
