
Your Chamber’s Aerospace Committee returned to a hybrid format with an in-person gathering at the Northside Business Center on February 10. The Committee heard from Walt Ugalde and Carla Cohen from NASA and discussed funding opportunities on the horizon, including an in-depth look at the NASA Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) program and the Small Business Technology Transfer (STTR) program. Committee Chair Frank Garcia, CEO of Land Aero LLC, also welcomed Wayne Fagan who recently launched the Dee Howard Education Fund. Wayne discussed the Fund’s main efforts, both aerospace and automotive education, and how the Fund will expand its scope in the aerospace area to be a truly nationwide program.
