Last week, San Antonio was host to the 2022 Routes Americas Conference, which is one of the largest air service conferences in the Americas focused on connecting airports with senior decision makers from airlines, airports, destinations, aircraft manufacturers and air service development strategists. Your Chamber was proud to be a sponsor of and participant in the annual conference that focused on expediting the region’s recovery and fueling future air service growth.
Chamber President and CEO Richard Perez attended the event programming, several meetings, and networking opportunities. “With the adoption of the new airport master plan, this was the perfect time for San Antonio to host the Routes Americas Conference. We were able to showcase San Antonio to industry leaders, meet face-to-face with airline decision makers, and make a case for why investing in San Antonio makes sense.” The Chamber is committed to supporting improvements to our city’s air service to help us reach our maximum potential for economic development.
The Conference also provided a platform for the City to showcase the improvements planned for the San Antonio International Airport to more than 70 airlines. City leaders believe that by hosting the Routes Americas Conference, San Antonio is well positioned to expand both domestic and international airline activity.
