The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has been working with the Texas House Innovation and Technology Caucus for the last several months to arrange for a tour of cybersecurity in San Antonio.
Last week, the Chamber helped facilitate visits to Rackspace, Port San Antonio, and UTSA’s National Security Collaboration Center. In addition, we hosted a luncheon with members of the Caucus and their staffs at Geekdom’s Event Center. Sponsored by Jungle Disk and Port San Antonio, the Luncheon featured a short program to describe the cybersecurity ecosystem to the delegation and to highlight the private sector cybersecurity industry. Following a short welcome from Chamber Executive Vice President Dave Petersen, Caucus members heard from leaders in the cybersecurity industry including Bret Piatt, CEO of Jungle Disk, Jim Perschbach, CEO of Port San Antonio, Charles Woodin, CEO of Geekdom, and Stephen Parker, VP for Marketing at gener9tor, the new cybersecurity accelerator coming to San Antonio.
