The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce hosted the Namibian Ambassador to the United States, Her Excellency Margaret Mensah-Williams. Accompanied by Mrs. Petrina Nakale, Commercial Counsellor (Trade and Investment), Ambassador Mensah-Williams met with the Chamber’s Executive Vice President Dave Petersen and talked about her first impressions of Texas from her first trip to our state since being appointed just over a year ago. The discussion during the visit on Wednesday centered around Namibia and Windhoek as a tourist destination, featuring a central location for several top attractions across Southern Africa and ways to increase academic and cultural exchanges. The group also examined ways to leverage San Antonio industries such as healthcare and cybersecurity to increase trade between San Antonio and Namibia. The Capital of Namibia, Windhoek, has been a sister city to San Antonio since 2016.
