Our San Antonio business community stands with and supports our neighbors in Uvalde during this extremely difficult time. Many of our business and community members are looking for ways they can assist the people of Uvalde. To that end, last week, we ran an article in Chamber Today with a few ways to help, and we wanted to share additional ways today.
- United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County’s United with Uvalde Fund - 100% of the fund will support the Uvalde community with immediate and long-term mental health resources. They will also make sure that the fund helps with any emerging needs identified by nonprofit partners on the ground in Uvalde now.
- Former Mayor and Chamber Chair Henry Cisneros and Mayor Ron Nirenberg shared information about the Robb School Memorial Fund. Established by Uvalde’s Mayor McLaughlin, this fund will assist the families of the Children killed and injured in last week’s mass shooting.
- Dr. Ricardo Romo and his wife Harriett have been supporting the Uvalde pubic library for the past five years. They are asking for help providing books and summer activities to support the children of Uvalde over the coming years.
