The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council will host Brenda Hicks-Sorensen, Director of the Economic Development Department, City of San Antonio. Chair, Charlie Weil, VP, Transwestern, will engage Brenda in a discussion about her office’s preparation of an economic development strategic plan for the city. They have been exploring innovative approaches to managing the incentives policy, ways to leverage investments and infrastructure to spur meaningful growth and development opportunities and determine the Economic Development Department’s best role in the region’s economic development delivery system. 

The Council will also welcome Cacie Madrid, VP for Policy at the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce, to discuss the development of the Chamber’s State Legislative Agenda in preparation for the 88th Texas Legislative Session beginning in January. Cacie will detail the process of submitting legislative priorities and how the Chamber will adopt its agenda in preparation for a successful engagement Austin.

The meeting will be held at the Chamber’s Northside Business Center at 1100 NW Loop 410, Suite 109 at 3:00 on June 21st.
