The Chamber’s Vice President for Cybersecurity and Economic Development Jeff Fair recently met with Joshua Weintraub, who serves as the Director for Business Development for Cybersecurity and Industry 4.0 at the Israel Economic Mission, which works to create lasting partnerships between Israeli and American companies. During the meeting, the two leaders discussed technology, cybersecurity, and advanced manufacturing opportunities between our community and Israel.

Weintraub discussed the recent successful visit of a delegation from Israel to San Antonio, as part of the Smart Cities Conference in late April. Israeli companies are looking for partners in the United States in order to expand into the much larger American market. The opportunities also include business-to-business sales both upstream and downstream with Israeli companies who value the quality of cybersecurity and general technology products and services in the San Antonio area. Finally, Weintraub discussed the possibility of trade missions to Israel and to San Antonio in the future. The Economic Mission is able to work directly with American companies to facilitate these partnerships and trade missions.
