On August 11 at 3:00, the San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Aerospace Committee will meet to discuss aerospace education efforts across our region. Chair Frank Garcia, CEO of Land Aero Group, will lead a discussion on an effort to support youth aerospace education in local high schools. We will also get an update from Christina Martinez, Executive Director of the Dee Howard Foundation, and her terrific aerospace intern program this summer. The Chamber team will also share a draft list of aerospace-related advocacy items for the Texas State Legislative Session in January 2023 and provide updates on projects for the year such as the regional aerospace directory, military transition aerospace recruiting, and aerospace hiring portal.
The meeting will be held at the Chamber’s Northside Business Center at 1100 NW Loop 410, Suite 109 and will be available via zoom. We look forward to seeing you there.
