The next Cybersecurity Council meeting will be hosted by the Southwest Research Institute (SwRI) on September 7 at 3 p.m.. SwRI will be presenting on their ongoing project with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), highlighted in their Technology Today Article. This encompasses V2X technology, Cloud Fog Edge computing, autonomous vehicles, and making a “smart city.” REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED TO ATTEND IN-PERSON. The deadline to RSVP for in-person is Friday, September 2nd at Noon.
The Council will also hear from Jesus Rendon about his non-profit, Building A Purpose, whose mission is to focus the interest of students and help them ensure a promising future by connecting them with professionals of their choice. The council will also receive an update from the Cybersecurity Education Focus team on a project they’ve been working on – collecting and organizing all Cyber Ed opportunities (K-12 and Higher Ed) in San Antonio and looking to fill gaps or address issue areas. We look forward to seeing you at the meeting in-person, but if you cannot make it, we will also offer a zoom option. For more information, contact Jeff Fair, VP Cybersecurity and Economic Development.
