The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce has continued its strong partnership with the local start-up community through several events through this year. With strong members, including Geekdom and others, the community has grown and earned national recognition.
This year, San Antonio Startup Week (SASW) ran the week of October 17th culminating in the Tech Fuel 2022 pitch competition. In 2021, the Chamber began a program where we helped to sponsor Tech Fuel through offering the five finalists one-year Chamber memberships. This year, more than 68 total start-ups entered, with the five finalists surviving two rounds of selection to make it to the last night of the competition.
Last year’s winner, Betty’s Co., a women’s health tech company, has been an active Chamber member making the most of their year with the Chamber and making strong connections with current and future partners across our region. Friday’s finalists included three San Antonio companies, one from Austin seeking to relocate, and the winner from Houston, who will relocate some of their team to our city. Be on the lookout for and help us welcome our newest Chamber members: Sensytec Inc., Developmate, Kiro Action Housing, Grackle.ai, and SocialMiningAi!
