The San Antonio Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Council will meet on Thursday, January 19 at 3:30 pm at VelocityTX (1305 E Houston St). Outgoing Chair Charlie Weil, VP, Transwestern, will introduce the Council’s 2023 Chair Kevin Matula, Director of Government Affairs & Public Policy, Zachary Group. After an update from VelocityTX and the Texas Research & Technology Foundation (TRTF), the council chairs will recap main topics from 2022 including small business support, downtown revitalization, and bioscience development. Chamber staff will outline economic development priorities for the 88th Texas legislative session and garner feedback for the Chamber’s 2023 federal agenda in preparation for the Chamber’s annual SAtoDC trip in March. Chair Kevin Matula will also discuss his goals for the Council in 2023, so we highly encourage attending in-person. If you are unable to make it in-person, we will also offer a zoom option.
