Your Chamber’s Cybersecurity Council will be meeting on February 1 at 3 p.m. at the new University of Texas at San Antonio San Pedro 1 building. Council Chair Larry Hurtado, Executive Vice President and Managing Director, Qnext Corp USA, will welcome congressional staff from offices in Washington D.C. to discuss draft cybersecurity legislation and the way forward for the 118th Congress.
The Council will also receive a legislative update from Austin and get the outlook for the rest of the 88th Texas Legislative session.
In preparation for the Chamber’s SA to DC trip, which will take place March 27 – 30, 2023, the council will vote to recommend federal agenda items as well.
Finally, the host for our meeting, Guy Walsh and the National Security Collaboration Center, will provide a look at their new spaces and their plans for this spring and beyond.
We look forward to seeing you at the Council meeting next Wednesday. If you are unable to make it in-person or have questions, please contact Jeff Fair, VP for Cybersecurity & Economic Development.
